Excerpt from McKelvie's Megaphone History and Law

I will explain about volume one of History and Law because it covers the history of and the law in all its branches so clearly and briefly that anyone can easily understand by its use. In fact, it is a key to history land law prepared for the benefit of commercial, high school and law students; for business men, and for people in every walk of life.

This compact volume clearly outlines my thirty years' experience in school work, boiled down to meet the requirements of others in this line of thought after having thoroughly, by diligence and a heavy expense, studied about 100 leading law text books during that period.

A requirement for the business man because it puts him in touch with the law in all its branches so clearly that a few hours time will enable him to understand his every day affairs more readily by its use.

Indispensible for the student because it gives him a solid working foundation of history and the law in a few days by its use before or after taking up his studies either in a resident college, correspondence school or in his learning during spare moments at home.

And very valuable for every young person who wishes to prepare for the historical, legal and political needs of a useful life. Outside of its general usefulness for both the young and the old of either sex, it is especially designed to prepare you with an ability to cast an intelligent vote, most needed for the life and prosperity of our country.

By the use of a copy during a few spare hours, you have an opportunity to acquire a brief outline of that which has cost me many years of hard study, deprivation and, a few thousand dollars.
