Richard C. Levy has forged a career as an inventor and an author as the president of Richard C. Levy and Associates, based in Bethesda, Md., a company that develops toys and games. For years, more than 50 of Levi's ideas have been adapted to prctical use by such toy companies as Milton Bradley, Mattel, and Tyco. With family help Richard Levy developed a game called Adverteasing, in which players must guess which advertisement belong with which products. Levy also developed Advertising Jr. for younger game players. Levy directed his inventive prowess into a reference source entitled Inventing & Patenting Sourcebook. This work is a guide for inventors in how to turn their ideas into practical ways of making money. He has also passed along his knowledge of the inventioon process through appearances at such events as IBM's Inventor Dinner and the National Science Foundation's Conference on Industrial Science and Technological Innovation. Recently, the Small Business Association recognized Levy, bestowing upon him its Innovation Award.
