National Security Affairs: Theoretical Perspectives and Contemporary Issues

This book is divided into four main parts, each emphasizing different aspects of national security. The first section details the necessity for and requirements of force in the contemporary setting, while section two is designed to present approaches to the use of force, with particular emphasis on the contemporary strategic setting. The third section presents specific elements of the structure and process of national security policymaking in the United States, while section four turns our attention from the domestic context to the international framework of national security by preseting a view of some of the external influences and specific issues in national security policy.
